Hi Mark, i had an assistant holding a LED “litepanel” light off to the left of the image for this one,? the lane way was pitch black.
hope this helps
did you not? use an external flash or light of some sort for the image at 3:54 with the bride and groom running down the alley? It seems like there was some sort of flash setup to achieve that. btw AMAZING images. Youve just inspired me to start shooting more often. This image im asking about is making me really curious. I’m shooting a wedding soon and would LOVE it if I could achieve this type of effect somehow. i have a D7000 and will rent any lenses i need to for the day. ty for posting!
Hi Max, Thanks for your comments!
No flash at all, no ND filter or any filters,? processed in Adobe Camera Raw.
Email me if you want more info.
Cheers
Daniel
FANTASTIC work! This is one of my most inspirational videos to watch as I am learning both my camera and editing techniques. I do have a question… in this video appears many outdoor photographs, do you use an ND filter or flash when shooting outside? Some of the people in these pictures seem too far away for a flash to be effective. I want to learn! ? Still photos with lens, aperature settings, and the like would help me… don’t know if you have such a video or website??
I just want to say those R gorgeous photographs, and I hope some of them made oil painting fun!!! I have a photograph I would love have? turned and photoshopped!! ThX 4 posting .,,
Great job! Congratulations!!!?

Hi there, Great Photos. I tried this effects. I used HDR in raw mode and edit them in Photoshop raw. It works wonders. I am just learning as a hobby but thanks again. Your photos inspires me. I have a 17-50 2.8 Sigma and a 70-200 2.8 sigma, I used a Nikon D7000, I am going to buy me a 50mm 1.8 for Portrait. when i sell my 70-300 vr? Nikon.
Inspires me? a lot
Just watched you video and realized I suck at? photography! You can buy any gear but you can never buy talent! Thank you for sharing your work!:)
The amount of contrast that you have in your pictures? is so incredible
what lense would you recommend? for wedding photography…primse or zoom? i? know u would need both but if u have to go with one which one would u choose?
Can someone tell what is the? song of the video?
Great work….. cracking video too…? well done
your work are very inspiring.. thanks a lot for posting
?
Hey i do all my treatments in ACR, adobe camera raw, not in photoshop its self. its a great program if you shoot and use Raw files. Having Nikon cameras like the? D3 and D3s helps too, huge dynamic range!!
Hey, based? in Sydney Australia
Thanks for the kind words! Glad you like them. Some in Ireland, Spain, France, Australia, Thailand to name a few :-)?
What a great work!
I’m actually new to photography, but I have been learning a lot lately.
Looking at your pictures motivates me to learn even more. I hope someday I become a pro like you.
Some of these were taken in Ireland? right?
Thank you for sharing your work!! :-D!!
I wish to? be as good as you one day! as a wedding photographer :D
damn these pics are amazing , u re PRO!? where is your studio??
wow were all these locations nearby each other? what? city/state is this in?
Glaring error,
There’s lots of good info here, but on page 46 the author relates that a friend lost many shots from a wedding because an assistant reformatted CF cards without saving the files, and that thus the only photos that remained were those on the cards left in the cameras. It is REALLY widely known that card formatting doesn’t wipe the data from the cards. There’s plenty of software, eg. that which comes *with* SanDisk cards that’ll retrieve most of the files from a formatted card so long as it hasn’t been re-used. Whoever this friend of the author’s is, he’s pretty clueless, and I’m astonished that Hurter himself didn’t know this.

|Excellent Book for a Quick Introduction To Wedding Photography,
This is one of the better photography books that I have read. And I have read a lot!
It is by no means and exhaustive tutorial on how to be a wedding photographer. But it will give you enough information to get you into shooting weddings and through your first few events.
This book covers a lot of ground, from photographic style to the business of photography. It is very well written and keeps your interest. I finished off most of it on a flight from LA to Chicago and I usually sleep on this flight!
It definitely helped me get through my first two weddings this year and I keep on opening it up to brush up on things and get more tips.
If you are thinking about getting into wedding photography, nothing beats experience, but this book will give you a good introduction.
RECOMMENDED!!!

|An Elegant Primer on Wedding Photography,
Unlike many how-to photography books of this genre, The Best of Wedding Photography is a very beautiful book filled luscious wedding photographs. The photographers selected are from well-known wedding photographers in the field. For the photographs alone, you will want to go back to this book again and again. It is also wonderful handbook on photographic tips and techniques from the masters in the field. Great advice on portraits, groups, lighting, various approaches and albums. All these topics are illustrated with lavish pictures. It is a wonderful primer for anyone starting out in the business.

|Beautifullyi llustrated by some very good photographers,
I have mixed emotions about this book. The book is beautifully illustrated by some of the leaders in the wedding field. The tone of the book, though, is often gushingly sentimental, which may be the state of wedding photography today (Try out a fuzzy picture of a bride daydreaming over her SHOES). Still, Hurter tries to present a balanced picture of wedding photographer as it is today – discussing traditional vs. photojournalism approaches and their pros and cons.
The pictures are well-worth seeing, but if Hurter’s style turns you off, you might be more rewarded by Steve Sint’s “Weddding Photography: Art, Business and Style,” which also is beautifully illustrated but more down to earth, practical and objective. Better still, read them both and find a balance somewhere in the middle.
